TEMBUSU Asia Consulting was appointed to advise on the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP) for the construction of a Near Shore Outfall structure and associated Gabion structure for a plant in the western part of Singapore. The scope of the project focused on the monitoring and management of surrounding seawater quality with specific recommendations and mitigation measures outlined in the EMMP document. Moreover, a monitoring and reporting mechanism was set up to assess the effectiveness of recommended mitigation measures. The EMMP will help to mitigate any adverse impact generated from the project’s activities on seawater quality, resulting in overall benefit to the marine biodiversity of the surrounding area.
