LEE Tuck Wai
Tuck Wai has extensive experience in the feasibility studies, master planning, design, construction and project management associated with water and wastewater treatment engineering projects, as well as stormwater and water resources projects. He is a process engineer by training and has delivered capital projects across the full water cycle (catchment management, stormwater conveyance, drinking water treatment, sewerage system, wastewater treatment, water reuse – NEWater, seawater desalination).
Tuck Wai’s experience is unique because it is extensive and broad-based, while also very specific and detailed as he is typically involved or leading in the delivery of the individual projects. He has also been frequently involved in contract tendering, procurement, tender evaluation and construction management.
During his time with CH2M (now Jacobs), he served in the role of Regional Technology/Practice Manager and led several regional technology/practice efforts in Water Resource and Ecosystems Management (WREM) and other areas such as Wastewater Treatment, Drinking Water & Reuse, Natural Treatment Systems, Conveyance, Water/ Wastewater Master Planning, Climate Change adaptations, Sustainable Solutions. As a result, he brings a strong systems perspective to each project.
In his most recent role as Director Consulting Services, Tuck Wai had full operational responsibilities from project delivery, technology/innovation, business development, client service management, resources management, hiring/team building and people development. A special area of focus in this role was the development of smart technologies and solutions as well as digital transformation initiatives. Tuck Wai led the development of a successful proposal to develop a digital twin of Changi Water Reclamation Plant for Singapore PUB, as well as various transformation initiatives internally including an AR-style “talking wall” feature to introduce a unique experience for engineering projects. He also drove strategic hires to build a team to deliver future digital-based projects
